Our History

Over the past 25 years, Innotec has been blessed with growth and new manufacturing opportunities and technologies that have become known around the world. Innotec is a small company doing BIG things like growing people, making beneficial products, and creating a culture where people love to work. Take a look at some of our greatest accomplishments in our company’s history and see the potential we carry moving forward.

  • 1992

     

    Incorporated

    Innotec incorporated in October 8, 1992 initially leasing a corner of a building in Hudsonville, Michigan. Innotec began with three machines which ran the T-spring, Visor Elbow, and Resistor Board project for the Automotive Industry.

  • 1994

    Moved to Zeeland, MI

    In 1994, Innotec broke ground on Suite 50 in Zeeland, Michigan and moved four machines from Hudsonville to the new building later that same year.

  • 1995

     

    ESOP Begins

    Innotec initiated its “Employee Stock Ownership Program” in 1995.  ESOP is an integral part of our winning culture where people love to work and have direct ownership of the success of our organization.

  • 1999

    Roosevelt Campus

    In 1999, Innotec purchased 20 more acres behind Suite 50. Suite 100 was built this same year, followed by the Ventura facility and Suite 200 to complete the Roosevelt campus.

    Office

    Universal Rail is Innotec’s first program in the Office Furniture market. This program is a great example of how Innotec’s automated advanced manufacturing vision can create huge wins for our Customers.

    Hungary Division

    With the growth of global opportunities for Innotec, the Hungary division was launched.

  • 2004

     

    China and Mexico Division

    In 2004 Innotec opened facilities in both China and Mexico in communities that would provide close proximity to serve our customers, and also provide opportunities to impact these communities with meaningful employment and stewardship support.

  • 2005

    Colonial Clock Building Acquired

    Innotec invested in the refurbishment of the Colonial Clock building in downtown Zeeland, originally built in 1906. The building was completely renovated and converted into a multi-use facility including manufacturing space, office space and condominiums.

    Headrest Stays Launch

    Innotec enters the Automotive headrest market with our patented cold notch forming technology for headrest stays.

  • 2007

    Water Wins Established

    The Innotec supported non-profit well drilling project in Nigeria is formalized through the vision and technical support of many Innotec team members.

    Innotec develops its patented technology for counterweights using 100% recycled material, Innviromass.

    Boardfree®

    Innotec BoardFree® technology revolutionizes the industry, providing PCB free solutions for the lighting industry. Innotec awarded CEAM Grant from the State of Michigan for the advancement of the BoardFree® technology.

    20th Anniversary

    Innotec is blessed to have celebrated 20 years of growing people, running a company based on Biblical Principles and creating a culture where people love to work.

  • 2015

    Retail Lighting Markets

    In 2015, Innotec expanded its lighting product offerings to retail lighting,  providing the advantages of BoardFree® solutions to this market.

    AIT Joint Venture

    AIT is a Joint Venture between Innotec and ACTronics CO., Ltd to bring automated Lighting Solutions to South Korea.

    Introducing Bestec Systems, LTD.

    Innotec and Best Group Holding, LLP of India have formed a Joint Venture to grow BoardFree® Lighting Solutions in India.

    Ford Q1 Certification

    The Q1 Certification is awarded to Ford suppliers who demonstrate excellence beyond the ISO/TS certification requirements in five critical areas: capable systems, continuous improvement, ongoing performance, superior manufacturing process and customer satisfaction.

    Our LED Lighting Solutions have expanded to serve even more industries and markets

    Start of the Micro Bright Beacon Mass Production

    Innotec’s Micro Bright Beacon starts to be mass produced to serve all of Innotec’s customers worldwide.

    John Deere Innovation Award Winner

    The Micro Bright Beacon wins the 2020 John Deere Innovation Award, given to suppliers who successfully apply innovation to improve the John Deere business model with a focus on creativity, feasibility, collaboration, and impact.

    Innotec launches new rigid linear lighting

    Innotec launches a new LED linear lighting product family based on our BoardFree® technology.
